TABLE MANNERS

Today we discussed table manners from all over the world. Please answer the following questions in your blog.
Have you ever eaten in a foreign restaurant? Where? What did you eat? Did you make any mistakes? Please explain your experience. Did you learn anything?

I've never had meal in a foreign restaurant. But I have some experiences about differences of table manners. That was when I was younger, about 10 or so. I went to the French restaurant with my family. There are a lot of forks and knives on the table. Then, I didn't know how to use them. So, I used just only one fork. At that time, I thought just it was difficult and confusing! But now, I think that they have each meaning for good taste.

A. Yes I have. I have eaten Mexican food at Evansville. At that time I didn't know that "please decrease the amount of this meal." So, I regret that.

When I ate the dish of the hotel by the school excursion of the high school, I had a similar experience. There was too much number of fork and spoons and did not understand it which I should have used. I thought that I should have known table manners a little.

I idetify myself with your opinion. Because if I go to a French restaurant, I don't know about formal French mannners. Now, I'm a adult. So I have to learn formal manners. Could you understand about formal manners now?

I did the same experience, too. It was pain for me. I want to enjoy cooking without minding a manner. However, it can know the culture of the country more to know a manner.

I had same experience some years ago. I didn't know how to use many forks and knives. I have knowledge of manners to a degree, but I am not sure. If I am served meat with bone, I will not use a fork and knife well.
